Project Background 

STAND is a 36-month, training, capacity building, and small grants program that provide nascent CSOs in Kuwait, Yemen, and Bahrain with curricula, resources, and mentoring support to enable their effective decision-making and ability to address social and economic challenges in their respective countries. STAND’s approach emphasizes a significant investment in a carefully selected group of local civil society organizations (local training partners (LTPs) and NGO trainees) to maximize impact. Partners is working with three LTPs in each country that have conducted strategic civil society mapping and identified grassroots CSOs (NGO trainees), in their areas, as clients for training and grant-making activities. Partners has a direct relationship with the LTPs, including providing them with capacity building grants, in turn the LTPs work with NGO trainees and provide them with small grants.

 SOC Role

SOC will design, plan and implement an on-going quarterly monitoring mechanism including developing the monitoring protocol, tools, filed monitoring templates, interviews sampling to assess the project activities’ implementation progress against indicators.

In this regards, SOC will follow Partners work plan and indicators in order to ensure addressing all issues towards achieving the project objectives.
